Mexican authorities inaugurated a second Community Plaza in Canada for migrants who are in the country to access academic activities.

It was via his X account (formerly Twitter) that Gutierrez Reyes shared the inauguration:
“We inaugurated the 2nd Community Place @INEMexico @IME_SRE in 🇨🇦 at the CSSBE school service center in the Beauce-Etchemin region, it will mainly target agricultural workers in the PTAT program. A big thank you to @aestivill and the consulate team 🇲🇽 in Montreal”
Notably Gutierrez apparently made a mistake in calling the INEA, which is the National Institute of Adult Education, since he called the National Electoral Institute and it is important to clarify that these are different entities.
It should be noted that this place is located in The CSSBE school service center in the Beauce-Etchemin region will mainly serve agricultural workers in the PTAT program.
What are INEA Community Places?
THE Community Places are educational spaces open to the community. In these locations, free primary and secondary literacy services are offered to Spanish speakers over the age of 15, regardless of their immigration status.
In the Plazas Comunitaris there is collaboration between civil society, the National Institute of Adult Education (INEA) and the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME). via the Consulate network.
Students who Students who complete their primary or secondary education can obtain a study certificate covered by the SEP.
Community Plazas may also offer other services, these will be defined by the organization based on their interests and resources.For example, some places offer English classes, computer classes, high school equivalency preparation (GED), citizenship classes, and more.
