The Governor, Mauricio Kuri González, held a meeting with the founder and executive chairman of EXFO, Germain Lamone, to learn about the progress of the project of the Canadian company, a telecommunications specialist, which will begin operations in Querétaro on 1st December; with an investment of 200 million pesos and the creation of 235 new highly specialized jobs.
On her second day of activities in Canada, Kuri González visited the factory of the Quebec-based electronics firm, where she learned about the state of what will be the operations center of the company that will be installed in the Querétaro industrial park, and will have a fiber optic factory, test equipment, in addition to developing solutions for network operations for Internet access providers and manufacturers of telecommunications.
In this context, the founder and executive chairman of EXFO, Germain Lamone, underlined that the city of Querétaro is magnificent to invest in; he highlighted the technological and educational programs carried out by the state government in collaboration with the education sector and private initiative.
“It will be a pleasure for us to be in this city as collaborative citizens in such a magnificent city as Querétaro. I think the city is beautiful, technology is very important with the school, the Polytechnic University, I think as I said, it is a permanent investment, in the long term, I am very committed to achieving our presence in Querétaro,” he said.
