From November 7 to 11, Governor Mauricio Kuri González will make a working tour of Canada, in order to attract new investments and follow a post-sale process with foreign capital already present in the entity.
The President of the State will be accompanied by the Secretary for Sustainable Development (SEDESU), Marco Del Prete Tercero, and a delegation made up of businessmen and municipal presidents of Querétaro.
Montreal, Quebec and Toronto will be the cities that the President of the State will visit, in the latter at the invitation of the recently arrived company, “Tim Hortons”, a capital that represents the installation of 50 stores.
One of the main objectives is to succeed in attracting companies from the automotive sector to Quebec and Montreal, although they will also seek to establish new investment opportunities.
According to the Secretariat for Sustainable Development (SEDESU), 95 Canadian companies are established in the entity, a figure that makes the Anglo-Saxon country Querétaro’s fourth trading partner.
During the first quarter of 2022, Querétaro received $506.6 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), which represents a variation of 39.1% compared to 2021.
