SAAVI Energía (“SAAVI” or “The Company”) today announced the acquisition of Ciclo Combinado Tierra Mojada S. de RL de CV (“Tierra Mojada”), an 874 MW combined cycle power plant, located in the state of Jalisco.
The addition of Tierra Mojada to its asset portfolio is a significant milestone in SAAVI’s growth story, cementing its position as a premier power generation platform. With a portfolio of 3.5 GW of installed capacity, strategically distributed across the country, and gas compression facilities, SAAVI’s operations have achieved a scale and scope that allows it to deliver differentiated value propositions to a wide range of customers, both in Mexico and the United States. states.
In addition to representing a substantial increase in the company’s production portfolio, this acquisition demonstrates SAAVI’s commitment to the energy sector and Mexico’s economic future. SAAVI continues to invest in Mexico’s long-term growth and is proud of the contribution Tierra Mojada will make to achieving this goal.
Tierra Mojada is a state-of-the-art combined cycle power plant that began commercial operations in October 2020. The plant takes advantage of both the energy efficiency and competitiveness of natural gas, as well as its proximity to a highly industrialized region.
The acquisition will add to SAAVI’s experience of more than two decades in operating combined cycle power plants spread across the country.
