The Secretary mentioned that the arrival of Canadian tourists by air in the first two months of 2023 was 663,740, which is 124% more than the 296,275 tourists who arrived during the same period of 2022; being only 5.4% of reaching those captured in 2019, which were 701 thousand 292 tourists.
He also said that during this period, Cancun, Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and Puerto Vallarta were the airports that received the most international tourists, with 2 million, 739,000 tourists, or 19, 9% more than the first. two months of 2022; also exceeding with 5.2%, the arrivals of the first two months of 2019, when 2 million 603 thousand tourists arrived.
