Mexico completed the diving day on October 24 in the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 with a new medal. After the gold medal in the men’s three-meter synchronized springboard won by Rodrigo Diego And Osmar Olverait was the turn of Arantxa Chavezwho won the silver medal in the women’s three-meter springboard final.
Chávez finished with 336.85 points, enough to beat the Americans Krista Palmer And Hailey Hernandeztwo of his main rivals in the fight for the podium, and finished the event in second place in the standings.
The gold medal went to the Canadian Pamela Ware, who added 342.75 points. Meanwhile, the podium was completed by the American herself Krysta Palmer, who finished with 323.85 points and took home the bronze medal on her chest.

Before the women’s final, Mexico had already attracted attention for diving at the 2023 Pan American Games. Rodrigo Diego and Osmar Olvera won the gold medal by winning the three-meter springboard synchronized diving event with a score of 425.36. The silver medal went to the Colombian duo of Daniel Restrepo And Luis Felipe Uribewhile the bronze was taken Tyler Downs And Jack Ryanof the United States (368.64).
With one day of competition remaining in the specialty, Mexico has eight medals in diving: six gold and two silver.
