Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán announced this Monday the start of his “Mexicano Desde La Raíz” world tour, in which he will visit more than 10 cities in the United States and Canada in 2024.

Considered the best mariachi in the world, the group will take advantage of the tour to present their latest single, “Mi Mejor Error”, whose clip, which includes the participation of Mexican actress Kate del Castillo, has already accumulated more than 4.5 million views.

Carlos Martínez, manager of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, said in a statement that the group was “thrilled to return to the United States” with their music.

Founded in 1897 by Gaspar Vargas, the Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán has more than 200 films and dozens of albums to its credit.

The ensemble paved the way for the diversity of Mexican music, including elements of Spanish music such as pasodobles, bailables, polkas and danzones. He has also collaborated with internationally renowned artists, including Juan Gabriel and Linda Ronstadt.

Stops in California, New York, Arizona and Washington state, as well as the US capital, are part of the tour, which kicks off in April. In San Diego, they will present the Friday, April 28 at Magnolia in El Cajon.

Tickets will go on sale from Friday, February 3. The presale begins on January 31.

The 2023 tour is part of the celebrations with which the group celebrates its 125 years of existence, which has included tours of Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Considered a Mexican legacy, the Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán (Jalisco) promotes the work of great Mexican and Latin American composers such as Rubén Fuentes himself, author of “El son de la negra”, “La Bikina” and ” Sabes una cosa”, unforgettable songs.
