Great news that was celebrated this weekend by the Association of Nabateros de la Galliguera in the vicinity of the navata on display in Murillo de Gállego. The spokesperson for the coordinator of the Biscarrués Mallos de Riglos, Lola Jiménez, hopes that This recognition is a definitive boost to the nabata culture and serves to revitalize the descendants, through the arrival of funding and people who join this project through their work.

Jimenez Invite interested people to join this activity.

To obtain this recognition, all the associations of nabateros have worked internationally and it is that the descent of nabatas is the river transport of wood that we find in Italian, German, Slovak, French, Finnish or Canadian rivers. Lola Jiménez said that the name Intangible Heritage of Humanity is a recognition of the work of several generations.

The descent of the nabatas has its origins in the Middle Ages, when through rafts to carry out various transports, they used natural water currents. In the province of Huesca there are three associations of nabateros, in addition to that of La Galliguera, there is the Association of Nabateros of Sobrarbe and that of La Val D’Echo, which carry out their descents in the spring. It should be noted that this activity, in a symbolic way, was recovered in Galligeura by way of protest, against the construction of the emablase of Biscarrués.
