“We like to come to Latin America and compete with different countries that we are not used to. It will be great because Canada came in with a strong team, looking to win the most medals and add points to the standings,” says Kelsey Mitchell.
After winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, the 28-year-old cyclist will seek to endorse the good sporting moment she is having and, from what she says, she is convinced to conquer Lima again. , three years after climbing to the top step of the podium at the last Pan American Games.
“I love this velodrome, I have great memories here from the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. I’m very excited to be back and racing on the track. This Velodrome is incredible, the place too”, he added.
