Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Friday the progressive advances that, together with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Joe Biden, have led on issues important to the peoples of North Americathis after concluding his visit to Mexico City, where he participated in the tenth North American Leaders Summit (NALS).

During the Summit, the leaders signed the North American Declaration, a joint leadership statement focused on building an economy that works for people and expanding trilateral cooperation in each of the six NALS pillars: diversity, equity and inclusion; climate change and environment; competitiveness; Health; migration and development; and regional security.
According to a statement released by the Canadian government, Trudeau met with President López Obrador, and the two leaders They reiterated their mutual commitment to strengthen deep economic ties and establish lasting friendship.
Likewise, in the face of global challenges such as the war between Russia and Ukraine, such as the pandemic, Prime Minister Trudeau and President López Obrador reaffirmed the importance of a strong bilateral relationship between Canada and Mexico with a new Canada-Mexico Action Plan.
The action plan aims to increase bilateral initiatives in various areas, including strengthening and developing trade and investment ties, promoting gender equality and sharing experiences of indigenous reconciliation.
