justin bieber sold all editorial and artistic rights to its entire catalog of songs for $200 million. This agreement includes nearly 300 songs recorded during these years by the Canadian.
More and more artists are selling the rights to all their songs and the latest to join is justin bieber. The Canadian signed this agreement by which he gives up his complete catalog, which includes nearly 300 themes which he recorded during his long musical career.
Although he did not publish the precise figure given to him about them, the media billboard reported that they were $200 million, which they have come to describe as “the greatest of all artists of the Bieber generation”. It was the company they were sold to, Hipgnosis, who shared a tweet in which they confirm this to be true.
“Justin is really a unique artist in his generation and this is reflected and recognized in the magnitude of this agreement. For 15 years I have been grateful to witness this journey and today I am happy for everyone involved. The greatness Justin is just getting started,” the Canadiens manager said in a statement.
With this decision, Justin Bieber joins a long list of artists who have done the same, such as Bob Dylan. Stevie Nicks, Justin Timberlake or even Shakira.
Justin Bieber’s latest health issues
Recently, the Canadian also hit the headlines when he had to cancel his tour for a health problem. It is linked to the consequences that still linger from the Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a condition that partially paralyzed his face mid-year and in June and September forced him to postpone his tour.
This syndrome, also called otic shingles, is a condition that occurs when an outbreak of shingles affects the facial nerve near one of the ears. “Besides the painful rash shingles, Ramsay Hunt syndrome can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear,” the Mayo Clinic explains on its website.
According to this site, the syndrome “is consequence of the same virus What causes chickenpox? After chickenpox is gone, the virus still lives in the nerves. Years later, it can be reactivated. When it does, it can affect your facial nerves.”
