On July 4, the new machining center for North America of the group of Canadian origin, Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), was inaugurated, which will generate 100 permanent jobs for operational and administrative personnel.
In his speech, the director of the BRP plant in Querétaro, Mario Geberthusber, explained that with the creation of the Machining Center, the manufacturing production of the company’s parts is expanded; He thanked the support of the state government and the coordinated work of all parties involved to materialize this project which will benefit the community, bring in the best talent and provide greater opportunities.
For his part, the vice-president and global director of manufacturing and operations of BRP, Patrick Dussault, pointed out that this complex is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as smooth machining, induction heat treatment, grinding, polishing and assembly. to manufacture aluminum parts that are at the heart of engines. At BRP, he said, new ways are being created to move people around and give them cheaper access.
BRP Vice President of Global Sourcing and Operations Wolfgang Rapberger said the transaction is a clear example of BRP’s continued commitment to investing in improving its processes and manufacturing with cutting-edge technology. and in the process of delivering to the end customer a better experience.
This new BRP complex is located in the Querétaro industrial park, with four main production units: Compound Manufacturing Center (CFC), production of the cover and shell of Sea-Doo jet skis; North American Machining Center, Machining Aluminum for Crankshaft, Block, Head and Transmission Covers for Rotax Engines or Rotax Engine Assembly or Sea-Doo Watercraft Assembly.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by BRP’s Global Chief Technology Officer, Thomas Uhr; the private secretary, Josué Guerrero Trápala; local deputy, Beatriz Guadalupe Marmolejo Rojas; and the Director General of Residential Tourism Developments (DRT), Víctor Mena, among other guests.
