In Quintana Roo reside more than 15,000 American foreigners

Cancún, Q. Roo.- Using information provided by the 2020 Population and Housing Census carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), the entities that make up the Yucatan Peninsula have attracted thousands of foreign and Mexican migrants who reside there.
The peninsula has managed to house more than 26,000 migrants from other parts of the world, more than half of whom come from North America, followed by South America and Europe.

Therefore, the majority of foreigners residing in the peninsula in the last 5 years have settled in Quintana Roo, a large part of which comes from the United States, followed by Guatemala, Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba and Colombia.

Among the main causes of migration to Quintana Roo, in recent years, professional reasons have stood out with 4 thousand 356 people, family reasons with 3 thousand 643 and economic reasons with 2 thousand 628 people.
In the case of Yucatán, 8,463 foreign migrants reside in the Entity between Americans, Cubans, Panamanians, Colombians, Spaniards and Canadians.
As for that said, Campeche has 2,683 migrant residents, the majority of whom are Americans, followed by Guatemalans, Venezuelans, Cubans, and Argentines.
