Tocumen, SA clarified on the morning of this Monday, October 9 that Canadian tourists will return to the Scarlett Martínez International Airport, in Río Hato, province of Coclé, from November after two charter companies resume their flights to aforementioned terminal. .

Airlines Air Transat and Sunwing, which operate direct tourist flights from Canada, begin their trips between November 2 and 3. The airlines will have four weekly frequencies and plan to expand their services to five from November 21, 2023.

Raffoul Arab, general manager of Tocumen International Airport, a company that operates the Río Hato terminal and three other regional terminals, stressed that he sees the fruits of managing the promotion of the airport, aimed at increasing Panama’s air connectivity.

Arab said this management also seeks to have a positive impact on communities in the central region of the country, “as the frequency of flights increases.”

Until last July, Scarlett Martínez International Airport, in Rio Hato, welcomed a total of 45,258 passengers and carried out 3,971 flight operations.
