In the latest edition of the “Vampiro Podcast”, hosted by the fighter Canadian Vampirein the company of the former singer of Pxndx, José Madero, a notable moment of depth and sincerity was generated when they performed the song of the religion, an area on which Madero expressed some reservations. However, the discussion led to a shocking revelation from the Canadian who shared an experience of abuse in his childhood by a priest.

First, Madero expressed his perplexity at the unconditional devotion that some people still show towards the Catholic Church, arguing his point of view with a rhetorical question addressed to those who maintain strict following of religious leaders without questioning their actions.

“I am very struck by the fact that there are always people so pious, so pious that they continue to kiss the hands of their parents, making the difference between faith and institution,” he said. note : “I don’t understand how the thousands of cases of abuse by certain priests against children are not questioned”.

Throughout the intervention, Madero expressed concern about how his views on the ecclesiastical institution might be received by the public, showing respectful fear of possible reactions. But it is the intervention of his guest which marks a turning point in the conversation.

The Canadian vampire not only supported the need to debate these sensitive topics, but also shared a traumatic personal experience that changed his life. “I had a very bad experience when I was 12, I was raped by a father at Catholic school…”he revealed, adding that this event changed his life in a drastic and violent way.

To the surprise of Madero, who asked if the Vampiro had ever spoken about his experience, the veteran admitted that it was not a subject he had addressed publicly to any great extent. The trust generated in the podcast space allowed me to share this painful memory.
