Hidalgo does not only participate in national cycling competitions, since in recent days the entity has also participated in international competitions, through three representatives.

Daniela Campuzano Chávez Peón, Iván Aguilar and Edgar Cadena are the state runners who have competed in championships that have been held in the United States and Spain.

In the case of the double Olympian, she participated in the US Pro Cup MTB, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in said scenario, that of Tulancingo placed sixth overall, having completed the seven laps of the circuit in little over an hour and a half.

The winner in her division is the American Kate Courtney, who finished the course in 1:27.55 hours.

Meanwhile, in the under-23 category of the same competition, Iván Aguilar was ranked ninth overall, as he finished his competition in just over 1:20.

The gap was three minutes, facing the winner, the Canadian Clark Owen, who was accompanied on the podium by his compatriot Cole Punchard, and the American Jack Spangrer.

Meanwhile, the latest Hidalguense to see action on foreign lands was Edgar “Chucky” Cadena, who featured in Eibar, Spain on the fourth date of the Spanish Elite Cup.

Despite the state rider being in the top 10 overall, the rider’s performance was diminished in the latter part of the race as he started to feel the strain in his calves.

With little to do until the end, the physical situation did not help him, and he had to succumb to the course, due to cramps, so he did not finish the test.
