Since December, Group of abbots expanded the hotel and gastronomic offer of its service areas with the establishment of Canadian Tim Hortons cafeterias in the areas of Abades Loja –A92 motorway, kilometer 189 Loja, Granada– and Abades Puerta de Andalucía –A4 motorway , kilometer 262 Santa Elena, Jaén–.
The arrival of the popular cafeterias of the Canadian multinational means the creation of more than ten direct jobs.
In this sense, the management of Grupo Abades has indicated that the incorporation of Tim Hortons cafeterias is “one more incentive that we can offer our customers and corresponds to the demand that we have detected”. “Thus, the varied offer that is added to the service areas and the recognition of these prestigious brands by international tourists encourage us to continue to add this type of franchise to our businesses”, he assured.
The agreement for the implementation of these franchises that Grupo Abades has concluded with the Restaurant Brands Iberia group, owner of the brand in Spain and Portugal, adds to the one that has also been concluded for the inclusion in the areas Burger King’s Abades service center, which is currently continuing its expansion through the Granada group network.
Regarding this line of projects, the company also highlighted the recent incorporation of a Popeyes space by the chain of restaurants specializing in fried chicken –founded in 1972 in New Orleans (USA)- located in Abades Gate in Andalusia.
With regard to its development, Grupo Abades was founded in 1992 and is one of the main Andalusian companies in the hotel sector which, at national level, is present in different business sectors, among which the hotel, catering, service areas, catering and administrative concessions.
The company is currently expanding, placing its service areas at strategic points in the Spanish road network. Based in Loja, province of Granada, the company was awarded the Andalusian Medal in 2018.
On the other hand, Tim Hortons is a Canadian cafeteria chain and has nearly 5,000 locations worldwide. Founded in 1964 by Tim Horton and Jim Charade in Hamilton, Ontario (Canada), it specializes in coffee, donuts and pastries. It currently has more than a dozen stores in Spain, including three in Andalusia, two of which are managed by Grupo Abades.
Finally, Restaurant Brands Iberia was founded in 2017 and is one of the main catering groups organized in Spain, in which the exploitation rights are integrated as a master franchise for Spain and Portugal of the brand. Burger King, as well as the exploitation rights for Spain of the Canadian cafeteria chain Tim Hortons.
