Government signs $292 million mining investment contract

The company Curimining signed an investment contract with the government of Ecuador for the development of Curipamba-El Domo Mining Projectlocated in Las Naves, province of Bolivar.

The mining company's investment commitment is $292 million for the construction of a mine which will allow the production of gold, silver and copper.

This is one of the the largest investment contracts signed in 2022, said Production Minister Julio José Prado on December 23, 2022.

Curiminig is an Ecuadorian company in which two Canadian companies participate: Adventus Mining Corporation, which holds a 75% stake, and Salazar Resources Limitedwith 25%.

Curiminig hopes that the mine construction start in the second half of 2023 and projects that with the construction of the mine generates around 800 jobs direct and around 3,000 indirect.

The polymetallic deposit of the Curipamba-El Domo Mine he has a approximately 10 million tonnes of ore. Once built, this mine will be third industrial operation the largest in Ecuador.

THE two industrial mines which already operate in Ecuador are attentionof the Ecuacorriente company, and Fruits of the Northfrom the Lundin Gold company. Both are located in the Amazon province of Zamora Chinchipe.
