The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) today appointed Antar Enrique Bisetti Solari Deputy Minister of Hydrocarbons, in accordance with Supreme Resolution 018-2022-EM published today in the Extraordinary Bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano.

Bisetti Solari is an engineer graduated from the Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemistry of the University of Engineering. He has over 45 years of proven experience in drilling and production operations in the North Jungle, Central Jungle and North West (Talara) of the country.

He occupied the direction of the northwest operations in Talara and the offshore drilling in SERPETRO (drilling wells for the company Petromar). He was also Operations Manager at BPZ E&P, where he was in charge of the Corvina and Albacora offshore fields (Block Z1) and the onshore operations of Blocks XIX, XXII and XXIII in northern Peru.

The new Vice Minister of Hydrocarbons has international experience in drilling and production operations both in Venezuela (land and lake) and in the Gulf of Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador.

He has worked as Operations Manager of Integrated Solutions at Halliburton Services of Venezuela and Operations Manager at companies such as Maple Gas, BPZ E&P, SERPETRO and Top Drilling of Venezuela.

Likewise, he held the position of President of the Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering Section of the Departmental Council of Lima of the College of Engineers of Peru. He was also director-vice-president of the Society of International Petroleum Engineers (SPE, Lima Section).

In his professional CV he also records experience as a consultant in MINEM and Petroperú, and he was also a technical advisor to the President of the Energy and Mining Commission of the Congress of the Republic in 2019.

He is an international consultant and technical speaker in the field of oil and gas exploration and exploitation. Likewise, he was a professor of drilling engineering at the Faculty of Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering of the National University of Engineering.

Bisetti returns to the Vice-Ministry of Hydrocarbons after occupying this position in the second half of 2021.
