Former ROH World Champion accepts challenge from Chris Jericho in AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho successfully defended his ROH World Championship against Bandit on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite. However, what caught the most attention was the post-fight promo, where the Canadian assured that he would put an end to all those people linked to Ring Of Honor (former champions, commentators, announcers and referees) in an attempt to destroy the company’s legacy.

To do this, Jericho set a goal of defeating every former ROH World Champion, following it up with Bryan Danielson. This way, both fighters will be measured in a one-on-one bout with the title on the line. During, the challenge launched by “The Wizard” caught the attention of another former ROH champion, Davey Richardswho has shown interest in crossing “the forbidden door” to face the Canadian.

“What are @ringofhonor and @IAmJericho saying? Are we going to open this forbidden door? #richardsvsjericho.”

Richards was part of Ring Of Honor from 2006 to 2013, managing to conquer the company’s maximum title in June 2011, beginning a reign of 321 days. Additionally, the fighter has also won the ROH World Tag Team Championship up to three times. He is currently under contract with Major League Wrestling (MLW).

For its part, Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli in the special episode of AEW Dynamite Grand Slamconquering the maximum ROH Championship in the process, the eighth world title of his personal best. The Canadian defended gold for the first time on the latest episode of Dynamite, beating Bandit. His next starting defense will take place on October 12, still on Dynamite, against Bryan Danielson.
