The Secretary of Economic Development, Science and Technology, Manuel Alejandro González, confirms that the solar park in the community of Emiliano Zapatawith Korean and Canadian investments, will now be able to supply the region with electricity, once the interconnection permit has been obtained from the Ministry of Energy (SENER) and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).
“A solar farm that is in Emiliano Zapata, here in Aguascalientes, a Korean and Canadian investment that was already completed, there was 110 million dollars invested there, but due to lack of grid interconnection, it had not been possible to start running. The Governor’s efforts with the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) have made it possible to interconnect and now it is possible to promote this investment and logically the supply of electricity in the region detailed.
In this way, only the solar power plant of the municipality of Aguascalientes remains pending entry into service, indicated for alleged frauds of up to 132 million pesos in the case NextEnergy.
“There were practically only 2, one was Emiliano Zapata which is already in operation and the other is the solar power plant of the municipality of Aguascalientes which is still at a standstill” clarified.
For now, and according to the state official, the Korean-Canadian investment is looking to expand its presence in Aguascalientes, which is why they have already started the search for 200 hectares to install another solar park.
