Eugene and Dan Levy will bring their father-son comedic styles to the Emmy Awards.

“For two Canadians who won our Emmy Awards literally in a quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in a real theatre was incentive enough,” the couple said in a statement posted Friday on the Television Academy website.
Emmy organizers say the Levys will be the first father-son duo to host the three-quarter-century celebration of television's best.

It is also the first time since Howie Mandel in 2008 that a Canadian has hosted an event.
Levy's hosting season comes four years later Schitt Creek swept the Emmy comedy categories, winning nine and setting a record for most wins for a comedy series in a single year. The Canadian-filmed sitcom focused on the formerly wealthy Rose family.
Eugene Levy is also nominated for an Emmy Award this year.

Dan Levy recently played Andy Warhol in the Netflix comedy Jerry Seinfeld. without freezingwhich is competing for the Emmy for best TV movie.
