Exploratory mission of the Cordovan ICT sector in Canada – Web de Noticias

  • The objective was to visit and explore technological and innovation ecosystems of international reference.

With the aim of visiting and exploring technological and innovation ecosystems of international reference, a delegation of seven technological companies from the Technological Cluster of Córdoba, was accompanied by the Undersecretary for Technological Liaison of the Ministry of Science and of Technology of the province of Córdoba, Gonzalo valenci.

For four days, the Toronto Waterloo Technology and Innovation Corridor was explored and visited. There are 120 kilometers where different cities are striving to grow and consolidate as innovation hubs and districts, providing opportunities for the ICT sector and entrepreneurship to grow in the region.

With an aggressive immigration policy, this region of Canada offers multiple programs to attract international talent to the territory, offering incentives to organizations and individuals who contribute. Facilities to obtain the Canadian VISA, access to financing to develop your business, links with the government and the actors of the ecosystem; are some of the proposals proposed to generate new international business in Canada.

The Cordovan representatives held meetings and visits where they discussed with different sectors of government, provincial and municipal, to learn about the policies they carry out in terms of ICT, entrepreneurship and innovation.

They also visited accelerators, incubators and innovation centers to learn about their models and support programs for entrepreneurship. The tour included high-level technology and innovation centers and innovative companies and startups, to learn about the latest technology trends and explore opportunities for collaborative work.

Being able to learn the best global practices in terms of technological and entrepreneurial development is essential in order to be able to reflect on programs and public policies at the provincial level that contribute to the development of the ecosystem of Córdoba by drawing inspiration from existing models that are fit our context.
