This II Latin American and Caribbean Conference on United Nations Peace Operations takes as its basis for deliberations what was built up in the I Conference, which took place in the Republic of Peru, in 2022. There the agreement was reached, embodied in the Lima Declaration “Living in Peace”, which led to the creation of the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Cooperation for Peacekeeping (RELACOPAZ), a space regional integration and political agreement on defense within the framework of the United Nations.
