President Andrés Manuel López Obrador revealed that on December 8, during the meeting of the Mexican Business Council (CMN), businessman Claudio X. González Laporte, president of Kimberly-Clark, criticized him for polarizing the countries right from his morning lectures and paying for the constant disqualification of their opponents.
During this meeting, explained the head of the federal executive, the most important businessmen of the country, exposed, in all frankness, their concerns regarding the leadership of the country on various fronts such as economic and social.
In said conclave, González Laporte warned that López Obrador would leave a country divided so that before concluding his administration he would have to pay for national unity.
“He asked me why the polarization. He confessed to me something that I didn’t know, that he saw the morning shows, that is to say, he sees us now, like many others who see the morning shows, I not sure how they are asking for more morning shows but anyway why the polarization.
“That if he didn’t think, and that, there are no good terms, respectfully that the country would be divided. That I was going to leave the divided country, that national unity was better. And I told him it wasn’t polarization, it was politicization, to begin with, because quantitatively the majority of people were in favor of transformation,” he said.
The man from Tabasco said he also told the businessman that those who oppose his political project are only a minority and that they do not affect the mood of the population since it maintains recognition above 70%.

He said the charges against González Laporte and his son Claudio X. González Guajardo are due to the fact that they have in the past supported economic interests and the corrupt political class that are trying to bring back the era of privilege.
