The last date of Group A of the Copa America has been set with two simultaneous duels: Argentina against Peru and Chile against Canada. Only the Argentines were already ranked for the next round, while the Peruvians, Chileans and Canadians were looking for their ticket to the quarter-finals.
La Roja could not get beyond 0-0 against Canada and was eliminated from the competition, which allowed the Canadians to qualify for the next phase. Peru was also eliminated.

Chile 0-0 Canada
La Roja needed the victory at the Inter&Co stadium in Orlando, Florida, against their Canadian counterparts. For their part, the Canadians, tied, were already mathematically ranked.
The first half was confrontational, with both teams playing brutally, and was characterised by controversial decisions from Colombian referee Wilmar Roldán. In addition, La Roja suffered the expulsion for a double yellow card of Gabriel Suazo in the 27th minute.
In the complement, the game of both teams did not change and the controversies continued with the arbitration of Roldán. With this result, La Roja was eliminated from the Copa América and Canada qualified for the quarter-finals.
Argentina 2-0 Peru
Argentina, already qualified, faced Peru at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, with a mixed team of starters and substitutes. For its part, Peru had to win and count on a tie between Chileans and Canadians to dream of qualifying for the next round.
The goals came in addition with a double from Lautaro Martinez in the 47th and 86th minutes. Leandro Paredes missed a penalty in the 72nd minute.
