The delegation, which also includes Undersecretary Orlando Barraza Chávez and the director of the ¡Ah Chihuahua! Trust, Julio Omar Chávez Ventura, is in Canada to carry out a series of activities aimed at promoting the tourist offer of Chihuahua to residents. of this North American country. .
At the start of their work program, the officials had a meeting with Consul General Alejandro Estivil, Aeroméxico Sales Manager for Canada, Michele Martinson, and Tour Operator Travel Brands Product Manager, Frederic Belzile.
Later, the delegation met with leaders of the Institut de l’hôtellerie et du tourisme du Québec (ITHQ), a recognized institution in Canada in the field of hospitality and tourism.

The Secretary of Tourism also met with Roberto López, representative of the SieteMedia company, known for its experience in videomapping and multimedia technology for shows, to explore possible applications in the tourist promotion of Chihuahua.
The day ended with an event at the Mexican Consulate, during which members of the delegation met with more than 70 travel agents and the media. During this event, Chihuahua was presented as an attractive tourist destination. In addition, the Raramuri pianist Romeyno Gutiérrez enchanted the participants with a recital.
The head of the Ministry of Tourism, Edibray Gómez, mentioned that one of the additional objectives of this tour is to secure the venue for the next edition of the World Games of the Masters of the Indigenous Peoples of Chihuahua. Currently, these games are held in the city of Ottawa, the Canadian capital.
