CD Leganés and French club Pau FC reached an agreement on Monday for the one-season loan of 24-year-old left-back Diyaeddine Abzi. The footballer born in Morocco but of Canadian nationality arrives in Butarque with an option to buy.
Abzi is an attacking winger who played a prominent role in Ligue 2 last season. Trained at an early age in Canada, where he moved from his native Fez aged just nine, he took his first steps at FS Salaberry and AS Blainville, making his Canadian Premier League debut with York United, where he has remained since 2019. until 2022.
