The news was confirmed by the Canadian federation through a press release on its website, where it stresses that breaking this barrier was essential to rewarding their efforts on the courts.
But this change did not happen overnight, elected officials had to go through several stages of negotiations from 2022, after showing their annoyance at the lack of means to prepare, but the straw that broke the vase arrived just a few weeks ago.

In February this year female soccer players went on strike due to problems in their preparation for the senior women’s world cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand in July, that’s when that federation officials raced to calm the waters and reached an agreement.
Although the basics of the agreement are already approved, it lacks minimal details to ratify it, among the improvements that the players will benefit from include salaries, performance rewards and participation in international events.
