Monterrey.- A group of three Canadians were attacked on the Monterrey-Saltillo highway, around kilometer 40, on the afternoon of Thursday March 28.

According to the Attorney General's Office, the foreigners were heading to a community in the state of Durango when upon arriving at Periférico and passing through the toll booth, 20 minutes later they were intercepted by a truck with six men on board .

“(The Canadians) report that they were traveling on the Periférico, that they passed the toll and took the Monterrey-Saltillo highway and that 20 minutes later, a van driven by six men blocked their road, forcing them to go down,” said a press release. leaf.

Subsequently, the subjects forced them to get out of their vehicle by pretending to bring weapons, and one of their relatives, a young man of 22, was taken in another vehicle.

A few hours later, the victim was found in Ramos Arizpe, near a state police checkpoint, where she received the necessary attention from local authorities.

Likewise, they reported that the three people of Canadian origin were transferred to the C-COP of García to continue the investigation.

According to the version of those affected, after suffering the theft, they saw a García municipal police vehicle in the area, so they decided to stop it and tell the police what had happened.

So far, the authorities have only been able to recover the FORD brand vehicle, TYPE EDGE SPORT, BLACK COLOR, which is in the courtyards of C-COP García.
