There Canadian swimmer Mary-Sophie Harvey reported that during the last night of International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Championships celebrated in Budapest from June 18 to 25 was druggedand suggested that someone put a sedative in his drink.

The Canadian athlete published on her Instagram account that last night of the world championshipswhile he was with his companions, was drugged and that he does not remember what happened during a period between four and six o'clockbut who suffers bruises on the ribs and a slight concussion.

Harvey added: “I felt like the body I was in wasn't mine (I still feel that way). I came home and found dozens of bruises on my body. Some of my friends later told me that they had to carry me when I was unconscious and that probably explains why.”

The swimmer accompanied her text with pictures of bruises on his legs and said he had similar injuries on other parts of his body that he did not want to show.

“Unfortunately, These events happen more than we think.. It was a dangerous increase cases recorded during the last years but still we don't talk enough” added Harvey, who also included news clippings about cases of women whose drinks were adulterated with sedatives.
