Canadian Prime Minister asks Taylor Swift to sing in Canada

Toronto, Canada).- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took to Twitter to ask American singer Taylor Swift to include Canada in her world tour so that the summer is not “cruel” for Canadians.

Trudeau took advantage of the announcement on Swift’s official Twitter account of additional dates for the European tour, and the absence of Canada on the artist’s international “tour”, to respond with his request.

“It’s me, hello. I know there are places in Canada that would love to have you, so please don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon,” he said. she writes, playing the lyrics to the songs “Cruel Summer” and “Anti-Hero”, which feature on Swift’s show.

The “Eras” tour will offer 14 new concerts in Europe between July and August. Additionally, Swift will perform at least 14 more concerts in the United States. “Eras” also has shows scheduled in Mexico, Asia and Australia in 2024, but Canada is off the schedule for now.

Trudeau isn’t the only Canadian politician “concerned” about Swift’s lack of concerts in the country.

Last month Tory MP Matt Jeneroux joked that he would file “a formal complaint” on behalf of all of the singer’s fans over her apparent contempt for Canada.
