A Canadian plane detected underwater sounds in the search area for the missing tourist submarine as carried passengers on a voyage to the wreck of the Titanic in deep water off the coast of Canada, USA.
According to the Coast Guard, remote control vehicles have moved (ROV) to explore the origin of the noises, but the results so far have been negative.
“ROV searches yielded negative results but are ongoing. Additionally, data from the (Canadian) aircraft has been shared with our US Navy experts for further analysis to consider in future search plans,” the Coast Guard said.
the submersible disappeared on Sunday about 700 kilometers off Newfoundland, without for the moment having clues on its location. He lost contact with the surface less than two hours after starting the dive and experts estimate the oxygen on board can last up to 96 hours, in the best of circumstances.
The luxury liner “Titanic” is located about 600 kilometers off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, at a depth of 3,800 meters below the surface of the sea. Its sinking occurred in 1912 and left more than 1,500 dead, although the remains of the wreckage were not located until 1985.
