The Canadian Nutrien does not stop its growth projects in Brazil. This time announced an agreement to acquire distribution company Safra Rica, which has been operating in the states of Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo for 19 years.
In July, the company had already carried out a similar operation, by purchasing Casa do Adubo, which has 39 commercial stores and 10 distribution centers.
Safra Rica has nine business units, seven in northwest Sao Paulo and two in southwest Minas Gerais, regions focused on expansion and with access to more than 1,800 active customers.
After the approval of the free competition body, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), Nutrien will have 200 commercial units, including stores and experience centers, distributed throughout Latin America, as well as A field team with 1,000 specialized professionals working in the region to serve more than 110,000 customers, he detailed in a press release.
Since 2020, The company has already made seven acquisitions that strengthen its presence in Brazil and consolidate its agricultural retail operations in Latin America.

Completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of the Board of Directors for Economic Defense (CADE) and other customary closing conditions.
