Former President of the Ontario Chamber of Physicians, Dr. Sohail Gandhi, andIn a statement to Anadolu Agency, he said the Canadian healthcare system, which has been pointed out to the world for many years, is in deep crisis.
Stating that Türkiyee established a new healthcare system with the decision taken 20 years ago, Gandhi said, “Canada should take Türkiye as an example to overcome the crisis in the healthcare system.”
Gandhi drew attention to the fact that the most important step taken by Türkiye in the health sector is the information and data system, noting that there are 13 different health systems in Canada, which they do not communicate with each other and that the information of the patient who is transferred from one city to the hospital in another city is not accessible.
“The first and most important step in solving the crisis in Canada’s health care system is an information system like Türkiye that all healthcare institutions can use together,” he added.
Stating that patients receive an appointment for surgery 4 to 18 months later, depending on their urgency, Gandhi advised his readers to “go to Turkey for emergency surgeries” in his article. blog.

Basically, one of my patients, who chose not to wait the 13 months he had to wait for a hip replacement, is going to Turkey next month and can get his hip fixed.
