A delegation of Canadian companies participated in a trade mission to the state of Querétaro in search of business development opportunities.
Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, holder of the Sustainable Development Secretariat (Sedesu), in a networking with companies from Canada, pointed out that the State represents a great opportunity for the arrival of projects in sectors such as automotive, aerospace and information technology, since it has trained personnel and conditions that provide certainty for business growth, in addition to having different actors in the agricultural sector.
Currently, in Querétaro, there are 96 companies of Canadian origin dedicated, mainly, to the manufacture of plastics and automotive parts.
In 2022, according to figures from the Economics Secretary, a flow of capital from Canada was reported for $120.9 million. While for the cumulative from 1999 to 2022, investments of $2,396.9 million have been received, placing Canada as the state’s third largest trading partner.
In view of these figures, the State is seeking to strengthen its link with this country and to attract more investment.
