The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (CanCham) expressed concern about the reforms promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, this could affect certainty, transparency and professionalism in various economic sectors of the country.
Luis Noriega, president of CanCham, expressed that the Canadian business and investment community is concerned about the constitutional initiative. which aims to reform the judiciary and eliminate several autonomous bodies.
The chamber highlighted its commitment for more than 42 years to promoting trade and investment between Mexico and Canada.
CanCham highlighted the potential for collaboration between the two countries for the modernization and integration of Mexico in various sectors.
The organization reaffirmed its desire to maintain a constructive dialogue with the authorities and new ones appointed by the federal government.
On August 22, CanCham celebrated CanCham Day with notable participation, reflecting the strong trade and friendly relations between Mexico and Canada.
Founded in 1982, the chamber represents Canadian business interests in Mexico and promotes trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Its members cover all industrial sectors and are located in different states of the Mexican Republic.
