This gas pipeline will extend to Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz and the Dos Bocas region in Paraíso, which will supply gas to Tabasco and two other plants on the Yucatan Peninsula.
This was announced this Tuesday at a press conference by the head of the Secretariat for Economic Development and Competitiveness, Federico García Mallitz.
He indicated that the works could start in November and should be completed within six months, for which he stressed that this project will also generate jobs at the local level.
He mentioned that this will allow Tabasco to position itself in logistics, but it will also allow it to have gas to attract more industries to the region.
In this way, infrastructure is generated to attract investment into the entity.
“It’s about $5 billion, $5 trillion, it’s an achievement that no government has had, it’s historic,” he insisted.
