The Americans Madeleine Focht-Verónica Nicacio, the Canadians Alizée Brien-Caroline de Paiva and the Cubans Yariulvis Cobas-Milena Venega also advanced the definition. The decisive series will take place on Wednesday October 25 at 9:00 a.m.
In other results of the day, in two women’s coxless rowing, Canadians Olivia McMurray-Abigail Dent, Chileans Antonia Zanetta-Magdalena Nannig, Americans Hannah Paynter-Isabela Darvin and Paraguayans Nicole Martínez-Alejandra Alonso qualified for the A final.
In the women’s short rowing, the American Grace Joyce, the Paraguayan Alejandra Alonso, the Brazilian Beatriz Cunha, the Peruvian Adriana Sanguineti, the Mexican Kenia Lechuga and the Paraguayan Nicole Martínez settled in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, on the men’s side, Argentina’s Ignacio Pacheco-Joel Romero and Americans Alexander Hedge-Ezra Carlson qualified for the coxless two-oar medal fight.
In the double duo, the Argentinians Agustín Scenna-Axel Haack, the Chileans Andoni Habash-Brahim Alvayay, the Brazilians Piedro Xavier-Tomás García, the Uruguayans Leandro Salvagno-Martín Zocalo, the Americans Casey Fuller-Mark Couwenhoven, obtained their place in the semi-finals: the Mexicans Alexis López-Miguel Carballo, the Cubans Carlos Ajete-Reidy Cardona, the Peruvians Víctor Aspillaga-Vincenzo Giurfa and the Dominicans Jancarlos Tineo-Juan Esquea.

In Mixed Series 8, teams from Chile and Cuba were the first to secure their place in the A final.
