Last Sunday, his compatriot Jorge Daniel Patzán won the third world bodybuilding title in the division up to 168 cm, in the Classic Physique category, during the tournament held in Santa Susanna, Barcelona, Spain.

The athlete, originally from the neighborhood of La Esperanza, El Milagro, zone 6 of Mixco, won his third world title in a 10-year career in this discipline. The previous ones took place in Benidorm, Spain, in 2018, and in the United Arab Emirates, in 2019.

Jorge Daniel, 29 years old, trains under the orders of Roni Zamora, who not only takes care of the physical preparation of the athlete, but also advises him on how to lead a full and healthy life.

He has won the title 3 times: in 2018, 2019 and 2023

The classic physical category, in which the chapín competes, considers the body as harmonious and well proportioned in relation to height and weight, since they are athletes of small stature and does not consider large muscle masses.

In previous statements to this newspaper, Patzán assured that when he goes to compete, he does so “with honor and well prepared because it is thanks to the support and money of the Guatemalans. That’s why I will not only participate, but also try to win,” he added.

The now three-time world champion still appreciates the care of his mother, Regina de Patzán, who prepares food for him up to seven times a day when he is close to a competition like the one in which he has just participated.
