The Ministry of Health (Minsa), through the General Directorate of Health Operations (DGOS), participates in the multisectoral civic campaign in the Ayacucho region with the aim of improving the state of health and the presence of health services. the State among the inhabitants of the Valley of the rivers Apurímac, Ene and Mantaro (Vraem).
The civic health campaign targets families in Huanta province, who have difficulty accessing health services due to geographic, cultural and economic barriers.
The specialties that will be offered are pediatrics, ophthalmology, psychiatry, internal medicine, gastroenterology and urology, in addition to assessment services to certify disability, social assessment, affiliation SIS, the donation of wheelchairs, Canadian canes and guide canes for people with disabilities.
In order to strengthen access to specialized health services, health care will be provided on an itinerant basis with the support of a team of 7 specialists from the main hospitals and institutes in Lima, who have been transferred to the district of Canayre.
The team is made up of a general practitioner from the DGOS surveillance team, a psychiatrist from the Sergio E. Bernales National Hospital, an ophthalmologist and nurse from the National Institute of Ophthalmology, a doctor and rehabilitation technologist from the National Institute of Rehabilitation and a nursing care technician at the Diris Lima centre.
This initiative was carried out thanks to joint work between Minsa, the Joint Command of the Armed Forces (CC.FF.AA.), the Regional Health Directorate of Ayacucho and the District Municipality of Canayre.
In the campaign, attention spaces will be set up on social and state services such as: Reniec, Pensión 65, Conadis, Conciliation Center, Cofopri, Techo Propio, Senasa, Beca 18, Sunafil, Juntos, Foncodes, among others state programs and procedures.
