A group of 170 people from nine cities across Canada arrive, with an original plan for a week-long vacation in the port, but some have decided to stay longer as they believe it is a safe place
MAZATLÁN._ With the initial plan to be on vacation for a week in Mazatlán, a group of 170 people arrived from nine cities in Canada, some of whom, having enjoyed the port, decided to stay longer.
According to a statement from the Sector, they arrived on January 15 and the return to their country was scheduled for the next day 27 and among the activities planned in this city, attends the concert of the Canadian country music group “The Washboard Union”, laureates of various prices in their country.
Christóbal and David, members of the musical group, said it was the first time they had visited Mazatlán.
“Since we got off the plane, we feel safe walking here…travelling here…it’s great”, “We love Mazatlán, it was amazing…people have been formidable”, “we want to come back…move here…it’s beautiful…we love it”, these were the expressions of the Canadian artists when they evoked their feelings during their stay in the port.
Marlène is one of the organizers of the concert and the holidaymakers’ activities.
She said that from the first moment the trip was planned, she thought about how attractive and safe Mazatlán is for celebrating events and sightseeing.
“Going out alone in the afternoon…shopping during the day, I went to different places: in the Golden Zone…on the promenade and I felt completely safe”, “everyone who is here tell everyone back home, how wonderful it is…and that they need to come here,” Marlene said.
Rob, is part of the Canadian entourage and said this was his second time visiting Mazatlán.
“It’s a beautiful city, friendly and very safe”, “I have friends who spend the winter here… they live here for three months…”, he specifies.
