MONTERREY, Nuevo León.- JUstin Bieber has sold the rights to his music catalog to Hipgnosis for $200 million, according to information from the company itself and sources familiar with the matter.
With this action, the Canadian singer followed in the footsteps of artists such as Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.
“Hipgnosis has acquired all of Justin Bieber’s interests in his publishing rights (including the performance author’s portion), master recordings, and related rights to his entire catalog”, said Hipgnosis, a music rights management company that already owns those of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The repertoire includes hits like “Baby”, “Sorry” and “Love Yourself” out of a total of 290 songs released before December 31, 2021.
