The two governments also discussed initiatives in which they will begin working together on gender equality, trade and investment, anti-racism, youth engagement, peace and security, tourism, migration and human mobility, the environment and climate change, as well as cooperation in the face of future health crises.

The President of Mexico applauded the importance of the Temporary Agricultural Workers Program (PTAT), which allows Mexican nationals to work in the Canadian countryside, also recognized the importance and contributions of indigenous communities and indigenous peoples.
