The Canadian company EXFO will invest 200 million pesos in Querétaro

Querétaro, Qro. EXFOa Canadian telecommunications company, is investing 200 million pesos to install an operations center in the entity, which will begin operations on December 1 of this year.

During the second day of activities in this country, the Querétaro delegation visited the Canadian company’s plant in Quebec, where they discussed the status of the investment project, of which the facilities will be part of the Querétaro Industrial Park, in the state capital.

In this space, there will be a fiber optic factory, test equipment; they will also develop solutions for network operations, internet service providers and telecommunications manufacturers. The firm is a world reference in telecommunications testing.

The founder and CEO of EXFO, Germain Lamone, highlighted the state capital as an investment destination; in addition to highlighting the educational plans in which the public and private sectors collaborate.

For EXFO, this is a permanent long-term investment. (…) (They are) committed to making us present in Querétaro, in a successful and beneficial situation for both parties,” he said.

The company is listed on NASDAQ and the Toronto Stock Exchange; It has 1,700 employees in 25 countries.

Meanwhile, as part of the second day of activities in Canada, the delegation of civil servants from Querétaro met with the Minister of International Relations for La Francophonie, Martine Biron, to discuss internationalization strategies.

Likewise, with the Deputy Premier of the Province of Quebec – also Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility – Geneviève Guilbault, to talk about collaborative green technology projects, as well as the promotion of international cooperation in political, academic matters. and economical.
