The history of this fine company dates back to 1980, when Gilles Ste-Croix and Guy Laliberté founded a small group of artists who demonstrated their talent on the shores of the St. Lawrence River in Quebec City. Currently, more than a thousand artists, from 55 different countries, work in the various shows offered by the company. Each individual show has around 100 artists, who have previously practiced sports disciplines such as rhythmic and acrobatic gymnastics.
