The Canadian sculptor Pascal Archambault is in Guatemala and will give a conference related to his specialty, at the National School of Plastic Arts.

Archambaultsince 1982, has been the subject of various individual and group exhibitions, both in Canada and abroad, and his works are part of important public and private collections.

Several of his monumental sculptures, produced during symposiums and international meetings, are exhibited in Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Haiti, Korea, France, Italy, Brazil and Guatemala.

The artist will give a presentation at National School of Plastic Arts Rafael Rodríguez Padilla, at 24 calle 3-81, zone 1, inside the Miguel Ángel Asturias Cultural Center, tomorrow, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is open to the public.

Archambault studied at the Bachelor of Fine Arts, at UQAM, the University of Quebec, in Montreal, and later at the School of Wood Sculpture, in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec.

His creation is based on direct carving on monumental dimensions for public spaces, he also made smaller bronzes for more private exhibition contexts. This allowed him to exhibit in galleries and museums where he offers a reading close to theatricality and symbolism.
