James Webb Telescope captures not-too-distant dwarf galaxy

Written in TENDENCIES the

The James Webb Telescope is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s newest space observatory (better known as NASA, for its acronym in English). Recently, he discovered a not too distant dwarf galaxy, identified as WLM.

In Dr. Zagal’s Banquethe and his guests shared some secrets of the universe with us, even delving into UFOs and the existence of extraterrestrial life.

What’s interesting in the WLM galaxy?

Kristen McQuinn, one of the principal scientists of the Webb Early Release Science 1334 program, explained that this dwarf galaxy is in our galactic neighborhood.

“It’s quite close to the Milky Way (about 3 million light-years from Earth), but it’s also relatively isolated. We think WLM hasn’t interacted with other systems, which makes it really good for testing our theories about galaxy formation and evolution.”commented the Rutgers University researcher for NASA.

In addition, its gas is similar to that formed in the early universebecause it doesn’t have much chemical life or heavier elements than hydrogen and helium.

Even so, stars have been created there recently, which have synthesized new components which are expelled when the more massive ones explode.

In conclusion, this discovery will help scientists study how they form and cosmic beings evolve in small galaxies like those of the old universe.

What is special about the James Webb telescope?

According to NASA, this space science observatory is “the largest, most powerful and most complex in the world ever built”. The purpose of this instrument is to discover and solve the mysteries of our solar system, as well as to explore other stars, galaxies, structures and the origins of the universe.

This is a project in collaboration with the European Space Agency and Canadian Space Agency.
