Canada is Querétaro’s third partner: Sedesu – Diario de Querétaro

During the first half of the year, Canadian businessmen invested $25 million in productive activities in the state of Querétaro, Marco Antonio del Prete reported.

As part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, the Secretary for Sustainable Development indicated that for the period from 1999 to June of this year, Canadian productive investment was 2 thousand 301 million dollars, which positions this country as the third commercial partner of the entity.

He also reported that in August this year, the Ministry of Economy reported 95 companies with Canadian origin in Querétaro, which represents 2.2% of the national total and 5.8% of the total state-owned enterprises, mainly involved in the manufacture of plastics and automotive parts.

Del Prete Tercero announced that Canada is the second destination with the largest exports from Querétaro, accounting for 2.6% of the total, which means sales of $299.5 million; The main exported products are: refrigerators, freezers, machines and apparatus for cleaning fabrics, air pumps, boards, consoles and bases for the distribution of electricity, among others.

Finally, he congratulated the members of this chamber for celebrating 40 years of trade with Mexico, as well as for promoting trade for the benefit of both countries.
