In the United States, Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock debated Sunday with Libertarian Party US Senate candidate Chase Oliver in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. Next to the two men was an empty desk for Republican candidate Herschel Walker, Senator Warnock’s main challenger, who declined to participate in the debate. The event came two days after the Warnock-Walker showdown that took place on Friday night in what is expected to be their only debate. Walker was forced to defend her anti-abortion stance after an ex-girlfriend recently claimed the former soccer player had paid for her abortion in the past and then urged her to terminate another pregnancy, which she decided to continue. Walker denied the allegations. In this context, Senator Warnock defended abortion rights against the overturning of the landmark Roe v. Wade in 1973 in which the Supreme Court determined the legalization of abortion in the United States.

Senator Raphael Warnock“A patient room is too cramped and too small for a woman, her doctor, and the United States government. We are witnessing what is happening right now when politicians, mostly men, crowd into patient rooms.”

Warnock and Walker also clashed over their positions in the police, the expansion of the Medicaid public health program and who they supported as respective party leaders.
